Thoughts

Well here it is 125 am Sunday, well I guess technically is Monday now. And I cant sleep. To many thoughts going threw my head. Wednesday night is elections and some people want me to run for EMS chief again. And Im thinking that thats not what I want to do. I put alot of time and effort into that place this year, taking time away from my family, just to have other people put down what I did. Now I know thats the fire service but it hurts. It hurts to know all of your blood, sweat and tears was not worth it to a point. I used to have so much fun there, but now sometimes its such a chore. The last month I have been at the MICU alot more. Partly because they "own" me for awhile because they paid for my school. And the other part because Im just so much happier there. Things that go on at the firehouse dont go on at the MICU. And I also thought that if I put the time into my scrapbooking that I did the firehouse. Id be caught up!! So thats the ramblings for now!

Thanksgiving Eve

So its Wed. night around 7 ish....Im sitting here at the computer, drinking my coffee. I just finished making two pies for dinner tomorrow. And yes they are homemade!! I bought them at the store and made them in my oven, so thats homemade!! This month brings bittersweet memories. Although this is one of my fave times of year, it also is the anniversary of the month my sister was killed by a drunk driver. Though its been several years, the pain never goes away. I always wonder what she would be doing now and if she would have had a family of her own. I miss her so very much! Also poppys birthday is the month. So this is the first big holiday hes not with us. And this brought us the two year anniversary that baby Lynn left us. And I definitely wonder what kind of toddler she would be right now! But I know they are all in a much better place and watching over us. But I am so very thankful I have everyone in my life and they are happy and healthy. Now if I can just wait for tomorrow to eat some yummy food!

Fall Updates

This weekend was a busy weekend!! We helped out at the firehouse for two nights, the Bowies had a Harvest Party, trick or treating, Erics birthday and then meeting with my family from AACO. Despite the busy weekend everything went great! Though its sad that we had to get together to celebrate the life of Uncle Ronny who passed away last Weds. We should be seeing each other regularly, not when tragedy strikes. Casey sent us an email this morning saying that basically we should get our stuff together and make more of an effort. And she is so right. I sent an email back to everyone and told them I don't mind driving up there to see them and the kids, that I felt forgotten. So we shall see what happens. On another note, today was the first day of homeschooling for Tina. I am taking slow to get her used to her new schedule and how things are during the day. We are all very excited for this new adventure!

Icky Germs

Well the flu has hit our home! Took Sara to the doctors yesterday and the rapid flu test came back positive. So they prescribed her a med that right now is currently unavailable in the country due to a shortage. I was hot!! Luckily the pharmacist at WalMart was able to make it by crushing up the pills that adults take and make a liquid out of it. And I am so thankful that she does not have the pukey flu, just the feeling crappy with a cough. Hopefully no one else gets it!! She just couldn't wait till we all got our flu shots!!

My Fave Thing To Do

Can anyone guess what that is?? SCRAPBOOKING!!! I love it! I can get lost in my own little world when I do it. I try to go to a friends at least once a month and scrap. I havent been able to do it at home lately but am going to try to at least once a week. Also twice a year I go away on retreats and get so muc done!! This year I am luckly and I get to go on three! I love these weekends away with the girls. Scrappin',eating such yummy--but bad for you--food and just hanging out with the girls. I love making books, I want the future generations of my family to know who we were, what we did and where we came from. I also learned one very important lesson in scrapbooking--its not just for the celebrations, holidays and special occasions. You need to scrap the everyday and what is important to you and your family. If you look through my books, you will find the celebrations and the holidays, but you will also find a page on Eric teaching Tina to play poker, you will find a page which entailed pretty much the worst day of my life as well of pages of my best friend and her family. I think it is also important to take pictures of the people in your life as well. Whether they are family or friends, tomorrow is not promised and you want to remember the fun times and the importance of who they were in your life.

Whats New?

I thought this would be a perfect way to restart my blog. Lots of things have been going on our life lately. First of all the week of August 17, we lost both twins. I was very sad and upset but after a great friend said something to me, it made it all seem to fall in place. She told me that the twins were just to perfect to be on this earth. For some reason that made sence and gave me peace! We are also getting ready to begin our homeschooling journey with Tina. I cant wait!! This past Sunday we got a new puppy. It is a black lab named Sammie. I have also gotten back into the swing of scrapbooking. This is just the start so stand by for more new exciting things on what we are doing!
